To qualify to become a MyTherapistMatch.com member a therapist must:

  • be a Counselor, Psychotherapist, Social Worker, Marriage & Family Therapist, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Physician, or Nurse Practitioner
  • have graduate level academic training and a degree in psychotherapy, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution;
  • be a licensed professional or unlicensed intern under the supervision of a licensed professional) or an unlicensed professional in a jurisdiction in which it is legal to practice counseling and psychotherapy without a license.
We do not share your answers to the questions with the therapists/clients. Your answers are only used to do the matching between therapists and individuals.
No, your answers to the questionnaire are not shared with your matched therapists. We only use your answers to the questionnaire for matching purposes.
Yes, the therapists' questionnaire is very similar to the one that you take, but not exactly the same.
Yes, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt the transmission of your responses. As a user of the site, we collect your email address solely for account management purposes. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

Step 2: Verify your email address by clicking on the link we email you. If you cannot click on the link, copy and paste it into your browser.



Step 3: Choose your pricing package.



Step 4: Complete Questionnaire.



Step 5: Complete your professional profile. Once completed, we approve your profile before it goes live. Approval of your profile takes up to 2-3 business days. You will be notified by email when your profile approval is complete.


After your profile has been approved, your account will be included in our matching algorithm where you will be matched with compatible individuals who are seeking a therapist.

And that’s it!!

Individuals looking for a therapist will take a similar questionnaire to the one you took when registering. They will then be matched with a list of therapists based on compatibility, according to our matching algorithm.

Prospective clients can request a contact from any of the therapists that they are compatible with. You will be sent an email notification from us when a prospective client wants to contact you. This email will prompt you to log in to your MyTherapistMatch.com. Here are the steps:

Step One: Go to http://www.mytherapistmatch.com


Step Two: Log in to the site, using your email address and your password.


Step Three: Click on My Contact Requests. The details of your new contact request will be there waiting for you at the top of the list. Contact your prospective client via their preferred contact method (email or phone).




And that’s how it’s done!

To help us improve the quality of matches we provide, we collect your feedback. On the "My Contact Requests" page of the site (when logged in), there is a column called "Already Contacted?". Once you have contacted the prospective client, click the Yes button. This will launch a very brief survey (< 2 minutes) to determine the quality of the match.


We request that you please provide us feedback on all of the prospective clients who contact you.
