This may sound rather obvious, but I approach the process of helping people from the perspective that human beings are not machines, but living organisms. I have observed that many people treat themselves and others as more like machines in which they are "broken" and need to be "fixed." I think people need a caring relationship, time, and compassion in order to grow into the changes and transformations that they are seeking in their lives. This takes time. I work with adults, couples, and adolescents who are struggling with issues such as burn-out, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and spiritual crises. It might be childhood abuse, life transition, relationship problems, or a great many other issues. I will help you to compassionately attend to your thoughts, emotions, and physical being in a way that allows you to make the changes and be the person you want to be. This is not magical or mysterious. Therapy is a powerful process in which two people work together to effect change. it is often not enough to try your best. First you must understand what is needed and then do your best. I can help.
