About Me & My Practice

Do you feel that time is running out for you? Have you exhausted every avenue to make your relationships work out and feel like a failure? Are you angry, scared and hopeless about ever having the kind of connections that make you feel like you matter?

If you do all the work and feel unappreciated, unwanted and you don't know why, I can help you deal with the stress that comes with relationship problems.

I give you relationship advice counseling so that you learn how to share your feelings without expecting others to read your mind, and vice versa.

You get to learn interaction skills live in therapy with me so that you can get feedback and discover how and what you can do to make sure you get seen, heard and responded to in ways that will make you feel engaged.

You discover the sources of your hot buttons in the moment so that they don't overwhelm and rule you when you are trying to have a conversation.

You learn how to express your feelings in words instead of holding it in. You won't be left with tons of unprocessed feelings that come out in ways that later embarrass you, or make your loved ones feel punished and rejected.

I teach you how to avoid the negative spiral of fighting and making up once you learn about the old wounds that come back to haunt your current interactions.

I also show you how to engage in the moment so that you aren't bringing old and damaging baggage to your interaction, which in turn allows others to do the same. Each of you are seen for who you are in that moment. You don't have to unearth previous unfinished business to be able to connect and communicate in a meaningful way.

I show you how to have a balance between emotional and physical intimacy with friends, family and partners so that you don't have to run away when things get too close, or get clingy when you need to be near them. I teach you how to deal with your feelings of shame and neediness when you want normal closeness and understanding but don't know how to get it.

I help you manage and prevent stress that comes from abusive and traumatic relationships from making you sick. Relationship stress can compromise your immune system, cause chronic fatigue, pain, heart and gastric problems, as well as hair loss and skin breakouts. Together we can help your mind and body to heal one another by giving your emotions the right channels of expression.

It's much harder to be loved than to love, so I teach you how to receive love in ways that you may not recognize. You get to feel full instead of running on empty and getting stressed out.

Whether you have problems in all your relationships and are lonely, frustrated and scared for the future, or you have a problem with one connection, I can help you develop the skills and emotional resilience you need to master the struggle.
