Stacey Kinney has been a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) since 1997, working with children and families affected by abuse, domestic violence, substance abuse and parenting issues. She has also completed required coursework to perform child custody evaluations.
Therapist’s theoretical orientation can be described as cognitive behavioral with a family systems approach to treatment.
She has worked with juvenile court providing therapy to victims of sexual abuse and their families for UCI Medical Center's FOCUS program and as a social worker with Orange County Children & Family Services.
She worked as Clinical Director at the Mariposa Center in Orange where she supervised Marriage and Family therapists, interns and trainees and oversaw the Women's Substance Abuse and Family Counseling Programs. In addition, she taught exam preparation classes preparing Interns for the Marriage & Family Therapist licensing exams.
